Email Clients List

Eudora 1.4.3

Error

There has been an error transferring your mail. I said:
Pass
and then the POP server said:
ERR Password supplied for "username" is incorrect.

Solution

Passwords need to be typed in exactly. They must not be changed. Check to see if the caps lock key is pressed to make sure that the letters are in the right case.
The other posibility is that your username was typed in incorrectly. Check the username if it is wrong you can change it by clicking SPECIAL then CONFIGURATION and retyping the POP Account name: it should be entered as your email address (ie. jsmith@computan.on.ca)

If you require additional information about configuring Eudora 1.4.3 you can find a link to it on our Email Clients configuration page

"your.domain.com"
Cause: requested entry not found (11004)

Solution

"yourname@computan.on.ca"
and then set up your Return mail address to
"yourname@your.domain.com".

Error

Error getting network address for "mail"
Cause: requested entry not found(11004)

Solution

Click TOOLS and then OPTIONS under Category choose HOSTS then make sure that SMTP is set to
smtp.computan.on.ca
Also check that POP Account is your email address (ie. jsmith@computan.on.ca).
If this does not work then click on TOOLS then OPTIONS then under Category choose Sending Mail and make sure that the SMTP server is
smtp.computan.on.ca

Error

The recipient "jjsmith@computan.on.ca" is not acceptable to your SMTP server. The message is not sendable until the recipient has been changed.

Solution

The name in the address you specified is not spelled correctly. In this case the jjsmith should be jsmith. Make sure that the address is typed in exactly.

Error

I received a message Mail Delivery Subsystem titled Returned mail:User unknown.

Solution

The name in the address you specified is not spelled correctly. Make sure that the address is typed in exactly.

Error

Eudora Network Timeout
Eudora is tired of waiting for the system to respond. Press OK if you wish to continue waiting. Cancel will terminate this connection.

Solution

Sending attachments to email is not the most reliable way to transfer files. If the file can be downloaded from the Internet it is better to send the recipient the address of the site where the file can be downloaded. The error is caused when the modems stop communicating. This is caused by poor line conditions which lower the transfer rates between modems.

If you require additional information about configuring Eudora 3.0.1 you can find a link to it on our Email Clients configuration page
