We Love to Travel!

British Columbia, Canada

Does my sister know how to spring a treat on someone, or not? WOW! A helicopter ride to the top of Mount Cheam. What a treat! Helicopter

It was with more than a little trepidation that I climbed into this helicopter for a ride to the top of Mount Cheam, shown there in the background. Mount Cheam is about 7,000 feet high and the top stays snow covered most of the year. I must admit, tho, that once my ears recoved it was a fabulous trip!

More Mountains

It's amazing ... from the valley floor all you can see is Mount Cheam, but once you get on top of it, all you can see in the distance is more mountains! That's the Fraser River Valley down there. What a fabulous view.

Snow on the Mountain Tops

It was a sweltering 90 degrees down on the valley floor, but there was still a lot of snow on the top of Mount Cheam.

Mt. Cheam's glacier

A closer look at the snow and ice glacier on top of Mount Cheam. We actually landed on top of this, and brought a snowball back to the ground with us. Needless to say, it didn't last long in the heat!
