British Columbia, Canada

Welcome to BC

In 1992, CFA held it's annual meeting in Seattle, Washington and Karen took the opportunity to have a visit with her sister, Julie, who lives in southern British Columbia. Driving up into mountains on side roads, just to see what you can find, is a very interesting way to pass the time.

Harrison Lake

A drive up into the mountains on some logging roads took me alongside Harrison Lake. Nestled in the mountains and well known for it's hot springs, Harrison Lake is spectacular viewing from this angle.

mountain lake

Here's yet another small lake I found nestled in the mountans off a logging road. As you can see, it was a picture perfect day.

Bridal Veil Falls

Besides lakes, I found my fair share of waterfalls as well. None of them were more spectacular than Bridal Veil Falls show here. Located near Agassiz, you can climb a path (if you have the stamina) right up to the base of the falls.

Fraser River

The Fraser River Valley, where the river has calmed down from the rapids and whirlpools that can be found upstream in the Fraser River gorge. This shot was taken from mid-way up Mount Cheam.
