Amarillo, Texas

One of our zanier trips was a quick trip to a cat show in Amarillo, Texas. We actually drove from St. Catharines, Ontario to Amarillo just for the weekend. Getting there was half the fun, and we drove through some gorgeous country in Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Of course, it was a bonus that we had left a snow storm behind (it was March, after all) and we had to put up with fruit trees in blossom outside our hotel window in Texas.

American Quarter Horse Museum

The American Quarter Horse Heritage Center and Museum was a very interesting place to visit once we got to Amarillo. These carvings outside the musuem were exceptionally well done.
