Great Salt Lake, Utah
OK, I freely admit it - this is one of the most beautiful states in the country! From north to south,
we drove with mountains on both sides of us, and it is one state that I have made up my mind I definitely want to return to.
Originally part of Lake Bonneville (some 20,000 years ago), Salt Lake and a couple of smaller lakes are all that are left of this old 20,000 square mile lake. You can see the salt deposits along the shoreline of the lake.
Antelope Isalnd, with it's Bison herd, was interesting to visit.
