Recently, identity thieves are using job offers from Canadian companies to steal money.
If you receive a job offer with typos in it, or from a domain that is NOT identical to the corporate domain of the company you are talking to, delete it immediately.
If you have an offer from someone, do a background check on that person to validate their legitimacy. Identity thieves are capable of creating fake social media accounts pretending to be associated with a company. Always validate two-times over if the people you are talking to do in fact work at the company.
Never send money to anyone. No employer will ever ask a job candidate or potential hire for money.
Call the company phone number listed on their website and determine an offer's validity.
