Meet Tameem! He’s a HubSpot integration expert on the Computan team.  He’s also the chief meme generator for the team.  Yes, it is a coincidence that ‘meem’ is in his name, and he always provides the best memes. In this installment of Behind The Coding Tameem talks about why he worked late for an entire month, a gift he’s buying for his fiancé and the HubSpot Design Manager.

Hi Tameem! How are you?

I am good Sajeel.  How are you?

Good thanks! What are the last 3 things you Googled?

The first thing I Googled was a smartwatch.

A smartwatch? Why?

I want to buy my fiancé a smartwatch that I saw on Instagram.

That’s so nice of you! When are you getting married?

I am getting married 6 weeks from now God willing.

It will be God’s will that you are getting married. 😊

Hahaha. Yes maybe.

What else are you Googling?

I was looking for information on the HubSpot Design Manager

Really? A backend developer like you looking for front-end functionality in HubSpot?

Yeah, even though I focus more on backend development, HubSpot integrations, and Laravel work I still need to sharpen my front-end development skills in HubSpot.  It is good knowledge to have.

Very true.  Do you ever see yourself doing more front-end work professionally?

Not really no!

Ok! What else have you been Googling?

ChatGPT APIs

Why so?

Anas (Anas Nawaz) my teammate was trying to find a way to cache ChatGPT responses for a project he’s working on. He needed some help and so we decided to work together for a bit on it.

Nice of you, Tameem! When was the last time you worked after hours to solve a hard problem?

Last month. I generally work late. I am Muslim and during Ramadan, I try to adjust my working hours so I am awake all night eating and working. Then sleep during the day!

So you worked late for a whole month

Yes! You can say that.

Impressive! Who are 2 people you'd like to have dinner (dawaat) with at the same time, and why?

Probably my University friends Aslam and Uzair.

Tell us a bit more bout Aslam and Uzair. What do they do now?

We always tell many jokes and share memories amongst ourselves.  Both are developers now.  Backend developers too!

When was the last time you cried tears of laughter?

I don’t know! Maybe an hour ago? I laugh all the time.  I joke around with you, with my family, and my teammates, and usually, I cry tears of laughter when I joke.  I give jokes; I receive jokes. I cry tears of laughter often.  Sometimes I cry tears of sadness too.

We won’t get into that for the blog, Tameem!

Ok, ok, that’s fair.

What do you love about coding?

I love that it’s interesting.  It is fun, and you can make good money doing it.  It’s a profession where you can make money doing fun and interesting things!

Very true, Tameem! When was the first time you saw a laptop/computer

I was 9 years old.  I saw a simple PC.  I don’t remember anything else and I don’t have any other story to share about it.

By saying you have no story, it sounds like you have a big story!

Hahaha, no, no.  Nothing like that at all.

What is something your teammates don't know about you?

They don’t know that I studied electrical engineering.

Really? You did electrical? For how long?

3 years! I don’t use it, but I studied it!
