We know blogging can help generate interest and relevant traffic to a website.  Nothing new there, but the problem is there are millions of blog posts uploaded online each day.  Don't believe me? So how do you stand out from the crowd then? What's so special about your blog post than the other 2-3 million being uploaded today? Well, we talked with Jake Cain, the brand manager at Long Tail Pro to help. For those of you that don't know, Long Tail Pro is a desktop-software that you can use to brainstorm keywords and topics to blog about.  The system suggests niche keywords based on your broad business category and calculates things like how often that keyword is searched each month as well as how much 'competition' there is for those keywords. It's a marketing tool for marketers!

Jake's been able to cut through the noise year after year in a variety of different topics using both online and offline tactics (yes...offline tacts to grow a blog).  He's also taught his methods to 15 year olds that were able to get thousands of organic visitors for a school project. More importantly, he clearly knows how to generate traffic with his blog content.
